Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2009

Inspired by Dr. King and by Barack Obama's call to service, there were record number of volunteers at the Montgomery County Volunteer Center's Day of Service. Community members of all ages participated in the Polar Fleece Comfort Blanket & Scarf Project. Volunteers created fleece blankets and scarves to be given to hospice patients and family members, to wrap them in the comfort hospice can provide.
