Meet Our Volunteers

Montgomery Hospice volunteers come from all walks of life. Stories of their service are equally diverse.

Many volunteers are family members of former Montgomery Hospice patients. We require that people wait at least a year after the death of a loved one before they begin training as hospice volunteers. This waiting period helps ensure they have had a thorough grieving process before they serve others.

Some volunteers come to Montgomery Hospice through workplace programs. For example, Choice Hotels employees have volunteered as a group to help with special events.

Staff from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), also based in Montgomery County, has helped decorate Casey House for the holidays.
