Tea Time at Casey House

As a Volunteer at Casey House, I serve as a Tea Time Hostess. During Tea Time, the families, friends, and loved ones of resident patients have the opportunity come together in a relaxed, home-like social setting. Hot and cold beverages are served, as well as snacks and light pastries.

Families share stories, memories, and common experiences. There is laughter and there are tears. Often, caregivers find the greatest comfort in a proffered hand and quiet listening.

Being a Tea Time Hostess is among the most rewarding work I've ever done.
