With the passing of my father, Larry Jackson, I was able to observe firsthand the support of the team from Montgomery Hospice that was dedicated to my family. They were an invaluable group for information, care and support. I decided to run the 2013 Marine Corps Marathon in memory of my Dad, and also to raise money for Montgomery Hospice. This gave me the opportunity to thank them for our personal experience, to create awareness for a group that many know little about and finally to raise money to support this great cause so that others can benefit from their care and support as we had. I trained hard and was able to complete the marathon in 5 hours. I was proud to run the race in memory of my Dad, and to raise money for Montgomery Hospice.
